Rabat – As part of a tour to certain countries in the Middle East, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, paid, starting April 21, a working visit to Doha, Qatar, leading a security delegation.

During the visit, meetings were held with Head of Qatar State Security, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, who was accompanied by senior Qatari security officials.

The visit takes place in an international context marked by a number of changes and various security challenges, a security source said, adding that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the main common security challenges, including those relating to cross-border crime, terrorist threats to the two brotherly countries, and the repercussions of worrying developments in certain areas of tension around the world.

The meeting was also an opportunity for the two parties to strengthen joint cooperation through the implementation of “important security partnerships”, and to examine ways of consolidating se
curity coordination between the two countries, in addition to exchanging expertise and experience in all security fields and stepping up efforts to deal with the repercussions of the scourge of terrorism on the security and stability of both countries, according to the same source.
