The President of the Republic HE Mohamed Bazoum is participating, this Saturday, May 28, 2022, in the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, in Malabo.

The relevance of the theme relating to Terrorism and Unconstitutional Changes of Power in Africa gave a particular character to the debates.

President Bazoum in his speech gave the reasons which explain this correlation between Terrorism and Unconstitutional Change of power in the Sahel mainly and the consequences of terrorism on the institutions of our States, already fragile.

It emerges from this masterful speech from Malabo that the reasons underlying the latest coups d’etat in West Africa are not necessarily based on efficiency in the fight against terrorism and in the face of reality, these Coups d’etat have rather contributed to destabilize even more the armies of these countries and thus to make gain ground with the terrorists unfortunately.
