Ellembelle: Dr George Sipa-Adja Yankey, a former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Gas Company, has sent a goodwill message to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates preparing for this year’s examination. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing their studies as they approach this critical milestone.
According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Sipa-Adja Yankey, who is also a former Minister for Health and an indigene of Esiama, highlighted the significance of the BECE for students in the Ellembelle district. He described it as the first step towards certification in their academic journey and a springboard for their future and self-actualization. In a statement signed and issued by him, he urged candidates to take their studies seriously and focus on their education.
Final year students in Junior High Schools across Ghana are set to commence their BECE from June 11 to 18, 2025. The examination is a mandatory requirement for gaining admission into Senior High Schools in the country.
Dr Sipa Yankey advised the candidates to dedicate themselves to their studies, emphasizing that education holds the key to a brighter future. He warned against engaging in unproductive behavior, which could negatively impact their future careers.
He also encouraged the students to use the internet wisely for research purposes and to avoid wasting time on inappropriate content. Dr Sipa Yankey reminded them that their success in the BECE is crucial for their future roles as potential leaders of society.
