Wiawso MCE Urges BECE Candidates to Approach Exams with Confidence

Sefwi Wiawso: Mr Dominic Gyasi, Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has encouraged Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) candidates in the municipality to believe in their abilities and aim to successfully pass their exams. He delivered this message while speaking to the Ghana News Agency during a tour of examination centers within the municipality to observe the progress of the examinations.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Gyasi expressed his satisfaction with the smooth commencement of the examination process and expressed hope that this would continue through to the conclusion of the exams. He conveyed the President’s good wishes to the candidates and assured them that the Municipal Assembly would take all necessary measures to ensure an incident-free examination period. He urged the candidates to conduct themselves well, bringing honor to their families and the municipality as a whole.

The MCE advised the candidates not to succumb to fear and to strive to excel, enabling them to advance further in their academic pursuits. Mr Michael Kwarteng, the Municipal Examination Coordinator, also shared his satisfaction with the orderly conduct of the examinations so far. He praised the efforts of all major stakeholders involved.

Mr Kwarteng revealed that the municipality is hosting 107 examination centers with a total of 3,291 candidates. This includes 1,665 males and 1,626 females from 77 public and 33 private schools who are registered to participate in the examinations.
