New York (United Nations) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks, on Wednesday in New York, with the Republic of Benin’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olushegun Adjadi Bakari.
During this meeting, held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the two Ministers welcomed the excellent relations of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries, on the impetus of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Patrice talon.
On this occasion, the two Ministers discussed ways to strengthen the ‘win-win’ partnership between the two countries, and exchanged views on the implementation of new bilateral cooperation mechanisms, through the forthcoming ministerial session of the 7th Moroccan-Beninese Joint Cooperation Commission.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss regional and international issues of common interest.
Both ministers noted with satisfaction their convergence of views on the various issues raised, and
stressed the importance of strengthening coordination in the various multilateral platforms, through reciprocal support for candidacies in the various regional and international bodies.
