Brussels: H.E. Ambassador Eshete Tilahun held a courtesy call and bilateral meeting with H.E. Adeyemi Adebayo Emmanuel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union institutions, at the Embassy of Ethiopia.
According to African Press Organization, Ambassador Eshete emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral consultation between the Ethiopian and Nigerian Embassies within the framework of the Group of African Ambassadors in Brussels (GAAB). He highlighted the significance of collective efforts to advance south-South cooperation and priorities through such platforms, particularly in light of Ethiopia's presidency of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) from 1 August 2026 to 31 January 2027.
Ambassador Adeyemi shared his views on the importance of collaboration and acknowledged Ethiopia's constructive role in advocating for African causes. He expressed his commitment to enhancing engagement and cooperation between the two Missions and commended Ethiopia's ongoing development progress and transformative changes.
Both Ambassadors agreed on maintaining open and constructive dialogue on issues of mutual interest, aiming for a successful tenure in Brussels.
