DCE Leads Collaborative Clean-Up Initiative in Kromoase

Kromoase: Mrs. Grace Asamoah Agyemang, the District Chief Executive for Atwima Kwanwoma, has spearheaded a clean-up exercise in the Kromoase Electoral Area, engaging with local security services and community chiefs. The Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly organized the initiative, focusing on the principal street and surrounding areas of the town.

According to Ghana News Agency, the clean-up saw participation from key figures such as District Coordinating Director Madam Eunice Korankye, Presiding Member Anthony Kwame Nsiah, and personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Immigration Service, and Police Service. Assembly Members, traditional authorities, and Kromoase residents also joined the effort. Mrs. Agyemang highlighted the importance of the exercise as a means to eliminate filth and prevent sanitation-related diseases. She urged residents to actively care for their environment and avoid harmful practices.

Emphasizing the broader implications of the exercise, Mrs. Agyemang noted the significance of clean surroundings for health, business, and community pride, and expressed appreciation for the participants’ involvement. Madam Eunice Korankye commended the partnership between the Assembly and security agencies, stressing its importance for successful community programs. She encouraged adherence to sanitation bylaws and discouraged indiscriminate waste disposal.

Traditional leaders praised the district’s involvement and committed to promoting cleanliness as a cultural norm among the youth and households. Residents expressed satisfaction with the improved state of their environment and hoped for regular similar activities and better waste management facilities in the future.
