Akatsi: The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Akatsi South Constituency has extended its warmest wishes to all candidates sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The exercise, which commenced today, June 11, 2025, will continue until Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
According to Ghana News Agency, the message of best wishes was jointly signed by Mr. Owusu Anthony, NDC Chairman, and Mr. Bernard Ahiafor, the Member of Parliament for Akatsi South. It acknowledged the hard work and dedication of all candidates, teachers, parents, and guardians who have supported the students throughout their academic journey. The NDC emphasized that education remains a key pillar in the development of the entire constituency and the nation at large.
The statement expressed belief in the potential of every child and encouraged all candidates to approach the examination with confidence, focus, and determination. Mr. Anthony and Mr. Ahiafor noted that the examination is a significant step towards the future of the candidates and expressed confidence that the students will make themselves, their families, and Akatsi South proud.
They also advised candidates to remain calm and read carefully in order to perform their best. This year, a total of 1,171 candidates, comprising 566 males and 605 females, were drawn from public schools, while 303 candidates, including 122 males and 181 females, were from private schools.
