Mouhoun: Residents of the village of Pakole, located in the commune of Safane, Mouhoun province, have taken matters into their own hands by rehabilitating a damaged bridge essential for traffic and medical evacuations. The restoration, carried out on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, highlights the community’s commitment to serving their collective interests through civic actions.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the bridge, which connects Pakole to surrounding towns, was rendered difficult to use following heavy rains in the area. This posed significant challenges to the mobility of people and goods, including vital medical evacuations.
Faced with these challenges, the inhabitants of Pakole, motivated by a sense of solidarity and responsibility, mobilized on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Armed with picks, shovels, and local materials, they worked together to restore the bridge, ensuring the continuity of travel and the safety of its users.
