Special Delegation from Tougan Provides Borehole to Provincial High School

Sourou: The President of the special delegation of the city of Tougan, Ouigou Tiendrebeogo, along with a delegation, handed over a borehole valued at seven million to the leaders of the provincial high school of Tougan. This event took place in the presence of the provincial director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Sourou, Joseph Karambiri.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Tiendrebeogo stated that the donation is a result of a collaboration between the special delegation of Tougan and the non-governmental organization, Solidarite Internationale, through its ECHO project in the Wash department. He expressed gratitude towards the NGO for their support and encouraged other organizations to follow their example.

The principal of the high school, Daouda Banazaro, expressed his appreciation for the donation, referring to it as a back-to-school gift for both staff and students. He highlighted the significance of the borehole, noting that it will greatly alleviate the water issues the high school has faced for three years due to the sabotage of installations by the National Office of Water and Sanitation (ONEA).

Both the President of the special delegation, Ouigou Tiendrebeogo, and the provincial director of secondary education, Joseph Karambiri, extended their thanks to the donor. They also urged the principal to establish a monitoring committee to ensure the maintenance and longevity of the borehole.
