NDjamena: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition has successfully concluded a two-day workshop in NDjamena, Chad, focusing on the “Effective Implementation of Security Council Resolutions, United Nations Conventions, and Relevant International Standards.” This event is part of the coalition’s ongoing Sahel Program.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the workshop marked the fourth phase of the Sahel Program and was attended by Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghidi, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition. The session was led by Yasser Al-Tayfi, an expert in combating terrorism financing and money laundering, and aimed at personnel from regulatory bodies, law enforcement, financial institutions, auditors, policymakers, government officials, and compliance officers.

The workshop is one among several initiatives by the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition aimed at enhancing regional security in the Sahel countries, including Chad, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, and Burkina Faso. The outcomes of these workshops are anticipated to bolster institutional integration, modernize regulatory policies, and build capable national capacities to combat the financing of terrorism. This effort is expected to significantly contribute to the enhancement of security, stability, and development across the region.
