North Tongu: Madam Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of North Tongu, has charged candidates sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the district to remain confident and focused to come out with excellent results. As the examination commenced today, the DCE commended the dedication, perseverance, and resilience shown by students throughout their basic education journey.
According to Ghana News Agency, the examination was described by Madam Doe as more than just a test of knowledge, representing a crucial gateway to greater opportunities. She emphasized to the students that their hard work and resilience have prepared them well for success. ‘You have come this far with dedication, hard work, and resilience, and I am confident that you are well prepared to succeed,’ she said, encouraging them to approach the exam with confidence and calmness.
Madam Doe also acknowledged the vital role played by parents, teachers, and school authorities in preparing the candidates for the examination. She praised their continuous efforts and unwavering support in building a strong academic foundation for the district’s young learners. ‘To our teachers, parents, and school authorities, thank you for the guidance, encouragement, and support you’ve offered these bright minds. Your efforts have laid a strong foundation,’ she noted.
She further urged the students to rise to the occasion and represent their district with distinction. ‘May God guide your thoughts, sharpen your memory, and grant you success in every paper you write. Go forth and make North Tongu proud.’
The 2025 BECE, organized by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), commenced smoothly in North Tongu as hundreds of candidates are participating, with district authorities expressing optimism about strong performance outcomes.
