Krachi East: The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commenced smoothly across all centres in Krachi East. The one-week examination will end on Tuesday, June 18, 2025, nationwide. Candidates are writing Social Studies and Computing as the first and second papers, respectively, on the first day.
According to Ghana News Agency, during a visit to some examination centres in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region, it was observed that candidates, supervisors, invigilators, and police officers were at the centres ahead of the start of the examination. At the Dambai Lakeside centre, all 256 candidates, consisting of 96 girls and 162 boys, were present for the examination.
At the Dambai College of Education (DACE) centre, 378 candidates were sitting for the examination. Meanwhile, the Oti Senior High Technical School centre hosted 245 candidates, comprising 148 boys and 97 girls. Additionally, at the KpareKpare M/A centre, 291 candidates, including 139 boys and 152 girls, participated in the examination.
A total of 1,792 candidates, made up of 968 males and 824 females from 70 schools, both public and private, registered for the examination.
