Ellembelle: Adamus Mining Resources has donated 100 LED solar streetlights along with 20 electricity poles to the Ellembelle District Assembly as part of its energy transition efforts. Additionally, the company provided 500 mathematical sets to final-year candidates preparing for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the district.
According to Ghana News Agency, the donation ceremony was attended by Mr. Joseph Agyekum, District Chief Executive, and a team from Adamus Mining Resources led by Mr. Kofi Eshun, Social Responsibility Superintendent, and Mr. Francis Kwaw Mensah, Assemblyman for Nkroful. Madam Angela List, CEO of Nguvu Mining, the parent company of Adamus Mining Resources, financed the entire initiative.
Mr. Joseph Agyekum expressed his appreciation to Madam List for her swift response to the social challenges presented by the District Assembly. He highlighted the significance of the support within a short span of his administration and looked forward to more collaborations in the future. Mr. Agyekum also sent a message of goodwill to the BECE finalists, encouraging them to remain confident and excel in their examinations. He noted that this gesture underscores Adamus Mining Resources’ commitment to supporting education and sustainable development in the communities where it operates.
Adamus Mining Resources has a history of supporting the Ellembelle District, including enrolling 100 young women in a vocational training programme in 2023. The company aims to empower the local community through various initiatives, promoting self-reliance and economic growth.
