Sefwi-Wiawso: Mr Kofi Bentil Afful, the Member of Parliament of Sefwi-Wiawso Constituency, has donated fertilizer to more than 378 rice farmers to help improve production in the constituency. The Member of Parliament personally distributed the fertilizer free of charge to the beneficiaries, emphasizing his commitment to increasing rice farming in the municipality.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Afful assured the beneficiaries of continued support regardless of their political affiliation, with plans to provide more farm input in the future. He announced that the farmers would soon receive free rice seeds to further boost rice farming efforts.
Mr. Afful stated that the initiative aligns with government efforts to ensure food security and economic growth. He highlighted his dedication to fulfilling campaign promises, particularly in agriculture, to enhance the lives of his constituents.
He advised the farmers to adjust their farming activities to meet the increasing climate change conditions to ensure food security. Mr. Emmanuel Nsiah, one of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the MP for the support and pledged to use the fertilizer to improve yields.
