AUABC State Party Review Team Arrives in Accra for Anti-Corruption Assessment

Accra: The African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption (AUABC) State Party Review team arrived in Accra on Sunday, June 1, to conduct a Review Mission. This mission aims to evaluate Ghana’s implementation of the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption (AUCPCC), as a participating State Party.

According to Ghana News Agency, the visit was initiated at the invitation of President John Dramani Mahama, who sought a peer review of Ghana’s anti-corruption efforts and overall performance. The AUABC team is led by Madam Seynabou Ndiaye Diakhate and has already met with Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice.

Throughout their weeklong stay, the team will engage with various anti-corruption institutions and agencies in Ghana. The Review Mission will culminate in a National Anti-Corruption Conference on Friday, June 6, 2025. This conference is themed ‘Revitalizing the Anti-Corruption Architecture in Africa: Ghana’s Accountability Journey.’ The statement from the Presidency encourages participation and preparation for this significant event focusing on integrity and accountability.
