YEA Director Reassures Creation of More Jobs for the Youth

Techiman: The National Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is collaborating with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovative Plan (NEIP) to provide employable skills training to 10,000 young individuals annually. This initiative aims to empower the youth and enhance their capacity to contribute to economic development.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Samari Abdulai, the Bono East Regional Director of the YEA, announced that beneficiaries will also receive startup tools to assist in business creation. This support is expected to help young entrepreneurs become more productive and economically active.

In an interview, Mr. Abdulai further stated that the program would help beneficiaries secure credit facilities, enabling them to expand their businesses and create jobs for others. This initiative aligns with President John Dramani Mahama’s reset Ghana agenda, which focuses on job creation for the youth and societal development.

Mr. Abdulai highlighted that the government’s ‘Adwumawura’ intervention would facilitate the recruitment of more youth into sectors such as security, health, and education. He encouraged young people to remain confident in the government’s efforts and utilize the opportunities provided by the YEA and the National Youth Authority to secure their future.
