The Minister noted the longstanding service of Mama Akua-Dei II, highlighting the importance of capturing her history in the Volta Regional Museum, an institution rooted in her jurisdiction. She extended a similar invitation to Togbe Afede XIV, President of the Asogli State Council, encouraging him to contribute to the museum with artifacts and mementos that narrate his leadership story.
The government is eager to support such initiatives, aiming for regional museums to house stories that reflect local identity and legacy. Madam Gomashie stressed the necessity of preserving oral traditions in tangible forms, advocating for the recording and exhibition of local stories for posterity.
Mama Akua-Dei II expressed her full support for the initiative. Togbe Adubobi IV also seized the opportunity to request the development and promotion of lesser-known tourist sites in the Asogli State, like ‘Asiat?€š¬ ‚¬Å¡¬‚¬Å¾¢e’. He invited the Minister and her team to this year’s Asogli Yam Festival, hoping to enrich the tourist experience through the exploration of historical and cultural sites.
