2025 BECE Commences Smoothly in Accra Metropolitan Area

Accra: The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has begun smoothly in the Accra Metropolitan Area, Greater Accra Region: The examination started on time without any hitches in the first session. The Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited various centres to observe the progress of the exams.

According to Ghana News Agency, at the Bishop Girls School Centre, 202 candidates from eight schools sat for the examination. Mr. Stephen Brown, Supervisor of the Centre, stated that the process was going smoothly, expressing hope that it would continue without issues throughout the sessions.

At the Anglican Bishop’s Mixed JHS Centre, Mr. John Juburst, Supervisor, reported that all 218 registered candidates from Apostolic International School and Bishop’s Mixed JHS were present, with no absentees recorded. He confirmed that no challenges had been encountered so far, noting that the examination papers and documents arrived on time.

The same situation was observed at the Reverend Thomas Clegg Methodist JHS Centre and Kaneshie School Cluster Centre. In total, 5,784 candidates-2,363 boys and 3,421 girls-from 141 schools registered for the examination in the area.
