Effutu: A total of 1,584 candidates, including 806 females, are set to participate in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) starting Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at five centers in Effutu Municipality. The candidates hail from 57 schools, which include 24 public and 33 private institutions within the municipality.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. John Ntisful, the Public Relations Officer of the Effutu Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES), stated in an interview that 921 candidates are scheduled to write the French paper, while 1,583 will take part in the ICT examination. Additionally, 32 candidates will sit for the Arabic paper, and 57 candidates will write papers in Ghanaian languages. Among the participants, three hearing-impaired students, consisting of one boy and two girls, will write the Effutu paper.
Mr. Ntisful extended his best wishes to the candidates, encouraging them to remain calm, focused, and free from fear or panic throughout the examination period. He empha
sized the importance of adhering to the rules governing the conduct of the exams to avoid any issues. Furthermore, he advised the candidates to attempt all questions and manage their time effectively to achieve good results. “Success in life is only achieved through honesty and hard work,” he added.
