In his opening speech, AU Chairman-in-Office HE Mr. Macky SALL announced the establishment of an African humanitarian fund in which Niger will participate to the tune of 1 million dollars, Senegal 3 million dollars, the Gabon 200 thousand dollars, Ivory Coast 2 million dollars, Equatorial Guinea 30 million dollars etc…

In speaking, President Bazoum detailed the situation of internally displaced persons in Niger and the Government’s efforts to bring them back to their homes, particularly in the Diffa region.

The Head of State also announced the start of a major campaign for the return of internally displaced persons to Niger during the month of June.

This African humanitarian fund is an example of African solidarity and must serve as an example in other areas such as the fight against terrorism which will be the subject of the extraordinary summit, tomorrow Saturday, May 28, 2022, where it will also be a question of unconstitutional changes. of power in Africa.
