Sheikh Adjetey Calls for Reflection on Sacrifice and Obedience During Eid

Accra: Sheikh Ahmed Adjei Adjetey, the Greater Accra Regional Imam of the Ghana Muslim Mission, has called upon Muslims to embrace the values of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion during the Eid-Ul-Asha celebration. He emphasized the importance of reflecting on the symbolic sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim, who was prepared to sacrifice his son, Ismail, in obedience to Allah’s command, highlighting it as a profound act of devotion.

According to Ghana News Agency, Sheikh Adjetey spoke to the media after the Eidul Adha celebration held at the Ghana Muslim Mission Headquarters in Accra. He noted that the act of sacrifice embodies a believer’s willingness to relinquish something valuable as an expression of faith and submission to Allah. He urged Muslims to renew their commitment to Allah by accepting His provisions, performing recommended acts, and abstaining from forbidden ones.

Sheikh Adjetey also expressed gratitude for the significance of Eid, describing it as a great day for Muslims. He thanked Allah for the blessings bestowed upon the Islamic community worldwide during Eidul Adha and prayed for continued blessings associated with the celebration.
