Ouagadougou: Young people from the town of Sebba, in the province of Yagha, have set up a committee called the ‘Committee for the Fight for the Common Cause’ to promote social cohesion in order to carry out civic actions for the well-being of the population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, on September 29, 2025, a general assembly bringing together several young people from Sebba gave birth to the “Committee for the Fight for the Common Cause.” This structure aims to unite the energies of young people around issues of development and solidarity. Following the discussions, an office was set up and presented to the local resource persons and elders who supported the initiative.
Barely installed, the committee members launched their first activities. On October 1, 2025, they organized a sanitation day at the Sebba town hall. In the same spirit, they committed to filling potholes on the Sebba-Dori road, a strategic axis for the passage of secure convoys eagerly awaited by the population.
For the committee’s president, Mamoudou Tamboura, “it is time for the youth of Sebba to think about what unites them and to contribute positively to the life of the city.” He has already announced other similar actions at the medical center, the high commission, and any other public space requiring special attention. The young people are calling for the support of all those of good will for the success of their initiative.
