Mr. Charles Lwanga Puozuing, the Upper West Regional Minister, emphasized the need to empower, train, retain, and adequately remunerate nurses and midwives to improve healthcare outcomes. He affirmed President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to the welfare of nurses and midwives through policies like the restoration of automatic posting.
