Over 3,000 Candidates to Write 2025 BECE in Tema Metro

Tema: A total of 3,820 registered candidates are to sit for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Tema Metropolis. The 2025 examination is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 11, marking a shift from the traditional Monday commencement.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mrs. Bernice Ofori, the Tema Metro Education Director, stated that all preparations are in place to ensure a successful and incident-free examination period. The candidates registered include 2,345 from public schools and 1,475 from private basic schools within the metropolis.

The examination will see a total of 1,974 girls and 1,846 boys participating, spread across 14 designated centers. Mrs. Ofori extended her best wishes to all candidates, hoping their efforts would be rewarded with passes that they can look back on with pride and satisfaction.

Mrs. Ofori remarked, “As they write their BECE exams, they should remember that they have worked hard and are well prepared. I urge all candidates to take their time, read the questions carefully, and answer them to the best of their ability.” She emphasized the importance of maintaining calmness, focus, and self-belief, noting that success comes from hard work and dedication. “Trust in your abilities, and you’ll sail through,” she added.
