Accra: Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, has commended Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for his significant role in shaping his political journey.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Ibrahim, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for the Banda Constituency in the Bono Region, expressed his gratitude towards Mr. Nketiah during a thanksgiving service held at the Church of Pentecost, Sophia Cudjoe Temple, Sakumono District in Accra. The Minister highlighted Mr. Nketiah’s consistent mentorship and leadership, describing him as a political father and strategist who has been instrumental in his career.

Mr. Ibrahim credited Mr. Nketiah for deepening his understanding of grassroots politics and effective representation, acknowledging his encouragement and practical advice. He emphasized the personal impact Mr. Nketiah has had on his life, instilling discipline, political maturity, and a service-oriented mindset. Reflecting on his early political days, Mr. Ibrahim recalled Mr. Nketiah’s foresight and hands-on guidance, for which he remains grateful.

In his address, the MP urged aspiring politicians to seek mentorship and uphold values such as loyalty, commitment, and consistency in their service to the nation.

Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah Agyemang, the Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Teshie-Nungua, also spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of transformational leadership. He highlighted the need for leaders capable of achieving extraordinary feats and setting enduring records, warning that a single misstep by a leader could have severe consequences for the populace. He encouraged citizens to pray for visionary leaders who can navigate challenges with courage, clarity, and conviction.
