The meeting with the winners took place this morning at the Palace of the Presidency in the presence of the First Lady, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, HE Mr. Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou and members of the Government in charge of education and training. professional and technical.
Addressing the 113 best students and 32 best teachers from all segments, the President of the Republic said he was “very happy, really delighted” to receive them this morning.
Referring to the ceremony for the awarding of the Excellence and Merit of Niger prizes to these laureates, scheduled for this afternoon, the Head of State said that this ceremony is totally in line with the way he conceives education. , the education system in general.
Indeed, “healthy competition” which consists in ensuring that the best stand out and that this is recognized by an institution like the Noor Foundation and by the Republic, “is something absolutely essential so that what we project as a future for our education to be realized,” he said.
“The best at school deserve to be celebrated, recognized. We owe them this testimony and we encourage them to persevere in the effort. We also recognize the merit of teachers. They have even more merit than the pupils because they are the ones who are at the basis of the pupils’ performance”, underlined the President of the Republic.
