Kintampo: President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on his nationwide ‘Thank You Tour’ to the Bono East, Bono, and Ahafo Regions on Thursday, May 29, Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31, respectively. The tour aims to enable the President to express his gratitude to the Chiefs and people of these regions for their support during the 2024 general elections for him and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement from the Presidency detailed that President Mahama is scheduled to attend a durbar with the Chiefs and people of the Bono East Region in Kintampo on Thursday, May 29, at 1400 hours. He will continue on Friday, May 30, with a similar gathering in Sunyani, Bono Region, and conclude this leg of the tour on Saturday, May 31, with a durbar in Goaso, Ahafo Region.
During these events, the President plans to announce development projects that aim to enhance the well-being of the communities. The nationwide ‘Thank You Tour’ has already seen President Mahama visiting the Volta, Western, Central, Upper East, Northern, Upper West, and Greater Accra Regions. This tour also provides him with an opportunity to engage with Ghanaians, reaffirm his commitment to addressing their issues, and promote national development.
