Ketu South: Assembly Member Supports BECE Candidates with Essential Supplies

Ketu South: Mr. Lord Dotsey Hammond Agbogedenu, the Assemblyman of Taskconer Electoral Area in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region, has supported about hundred Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the area. The donations include mathematical sets, rulers, and pens to some beneficiary schools such as Taskconer Evangelical Presbyterian Basic School, Good Shepherd Academy, and Agbodokope Basic School in the Nyakornakpoe electoral area.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Agbogedenu, during the donation at Agbodokope basic school, stated that the donation was to encourage and give hope to all final year students to excel in the examination without any challenges. He commended Dr. Francis Sakora Kpormego Agboyibor, a philanthropist, for making the initiative possible through various donations.

Mr. Agbogedenu promised that the initiative, expected to benefit all final-year students in the area, would become an annual event. He urged other individuals to support the initiative and expand it to other schools in the area for all students in the Ketu South Municipality to benefit. Additionally, he pledged to provide transportation support for the students of Taskconer E.P Basic School and Good Shepherd Academy to and from the examination centre at Aflao until the end of the examinations.

The Assemblyman emphasized the importance of education in community development and encouraged students to study hard and aim for excellence in their final exams. Mr. Hasan Afanyedor Agbogedenu, School Management Committee chairperson for Taskconer E.P Basic School, and Mr. Julius Kuaduga, the Headmaster of Agbodokope Basic School, expressed their gratitude to the donors and promised to guide students to use the items for their intended purpose.

Some beneficiary students thanked the donors for their support, which they believe will help them embark on a smooth and successful examination journey commencing on Wednesday, June 11 to 18. Teachers in the area also expressed satisfaction with the donation, acknowledging the positive impact it is expected to have on the academic performance of the students.
