Abidjan – The leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI gives Moroccan diplomacy ‘an indisputable international stature,’ said Ivorian Minister of Communication, Spokesman for the government of Côte d’Ivoire, Amadou Coulibaly.

“The Kingdom of Morocco today stands proud, and we commend its cooperation with nearly all countries in sub-Saharan Africa,” Coulibaly told MAP on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day.

Praising the Kingdom’s exemplary cooperation with Côte d’Ivoire, he stressed that South-South cooperation is a major aspect of the Kingdom’s foreign policy, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King.

He welcomed the excellent fraternal cooperation relations between Côte d’Ivoire and Morocco, which give real meaning to South-South cooperation, in line with the vision of ‘two exceptional statesmen,’ His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Alassane Ouattara, who are working to further strengthen trade and economic exchanges between the two countries.

Praising the solid political, ec
onomic and social relations between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire, Coulibaly pointed out that the Kingdom is one of the three main investors in the country.

Côte d’Ivoire appreciates Morocco’s offer of cooperation based on the sharing of experience, skills and expertise, with the aim of raising intra-African cooperation to the level of an active and mutually supportive strategic partnership, noting that the Kingdom has become one of the leading investors in Africa, thanks not only to strategic projects, including the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline and fertilizer production units to contribute to the continent’s food security, but also to the signing of over 1,000 agreements with African countries in various fields.

‘These actions, it must be emphasized, contribute to Africa’s development,’ underlined the Ivorian minister.
