Accra: The Government has announced the theme for the upcoming National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, set for Tuesday, July 1st. The theme, ‘Reset, Reflect and Renew for National Prosperity,’ aims to inspire citizens to contemplate the nation’s progress and future.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Planning Committee, chaired by Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, has organized the Christian Prayers and Thanksgiving Service. This service will be conducted at the Forecourt of the State House at 0800 hours and will be led by Cardinal Appiah Turkson.

The Islamic Prayers and Thanksgiving Service will also be held on the same day, led by Sheik Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam. This service is scheduled for 1230 hours at the Ghana National Mosque in Kanda, Accra.

President John Dramani Mahama has declared Republic Day, July 1, as the official National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving. This declaration is intended to provide an opportunity for Ghanaians to reflect on and express gratitude for the nation’s blessings and prosperity.
