Sunyani: Pastor Dr. Edward Kofi Tumsiah, the newly appointed National Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) Ghana, has reaffirmed the church’s commitment to addressing the welfare and needs of its vulnerable members. This pledge was made during a special service held in Sunyani, where he emphasized the church’s ongoing restructuring efforts focused on supporting widows, orphans, and vulnerable children and youth.
According to Ghana News Agency, Pastor Dr. Tumsiah stressed that these initiatives aim to alleviate the challenges faced by these groups and improve their socio-economic conditions. He assured the congregation that the restructuring would also target improvements in the church’s infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and spiritual growth.
The service, which was attended by church leaders, workers, and members, also served as the official introduction of Pastor Dr. Tumsiah to the congregation. He expressed optimism that with leadership cooperation and support, the church’s spiritual and infrastructural development would reach new heights.
In his sermon themed ‘Praying till it happens,’ Pastor Dr. Tumsiah encouraged the church to draw inspiration from the lives of biblical figures like Daniel, Jacob, Joseph, and Moses to enhance their prayer life. He emphasized the importance of establishing personal altars at home and work to strengthen their relationship with God and deepen their Christian convictions.
He also shared personal testimonies of healing and breakthroughs, inspiring members to build and deepen their faith. Pastor Dr. Tumsiah acknowledged the efforts of pastors and leaders in fostering the holistic growth and development of the church in the Bono Region.
Earlier in the service, Pastor David Obeng Asumani, the outgoing Bono Regional Overseer, urged the congregation to lead godly lives that foster a closer relationship with God.
