Committee on Sports Marvels at Successes of South African Teams Across Board

Cape Town: The Portfolio Committee on Sport, Arts and Culture notes with appreciation the success of South African teams in the sporting front particularly the Under 20 who have become champions after 13 years.

According to African Press Organization, the Chairperson of the committee, Mr Joe McGluwa, expressed pride in the achievements of South African teams despite facing numerous challenges. He highlighted the recent victory of the Under 20 team, known as the Baby Boks, against New Zealand in Italy as a significant accomplishment.

The Baby Boks, led by Norton and Foote, demonstrated their determination from the onset of the competition. Their outstanding performance and strategic gameplay made them the favorites, and many South Africans anticipated their victory as champions, Mr McGluwa noted.
