Central Tongu: Mr. Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, the District Chief Executive of Central Tongu, has urged candidates sitting for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to approach the exams with confidence and determination. He told the candidates that the moment marks an important milestone in their academic journey, and encouraged them to approach with confidence, focus, and determination. “You have prepared well, and now is the time to demonstrate your hard work and dedication. This is not just an exam; it is a steppingstone toward your dreams. Believe in yourselves, stay calm, and do your best. We are proud of you, and as a district, we stand firmly behind your success. May your efforts be crowned with excellent results,” he added.
According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Happy Tsifokor, the District Director of Education, emphasized the importance of maintaining composure and integrity during the examination period. She told the candidates to avoid any form of examination malpractice. “Do not entertain fear. Conduct yourselves well and remain focused throughout the exams,” she advised. She urged invigilators to do their work diligently and also ensured that their presence at the examination halls did not trigger fear in the candidates.
A total of 1,494 (Boys: 765 and Girls: 729) candidates from 76 schools in the district would sit for the BECE, with the Education Directorate assuring stakeholders of adequate preparations to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the exams.
