This displacement follows that carried out in Torodi and Makalondi on June 3, areas which suffer from residual insecurity from non-State Armed Groups (NSAGs) invariably evolving between the borders of Burkina, Benin with incursions into Niger and consequently movements populations to safer rural or urban centres.

The Head of State, as usual, will carry the messages of solidarity of the Nation and of hope for the resorption of the danger of insecurity in view of the significant military and logistical means implemented in the bilateral framework with Burkina with Operation Taanli in particular or the international coalition.

ongoing military but will also deliver its strategy for the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their social ties with the promise of guaranteed security.

The multifaceted threats that the NSAGs engage in relate to assassinations, kidnappings of people, theft of cattle, burning of schools, telephone relay stations, destruction of shops and money transfer agencies and villages perpetrated by the terrorists before retreating towards the borders of Burkina and Mali.

More than 15,000 people (2,197 households) have fled their villages to seek refuge in safer neighboring villages.

The Head of State, who has made security his top priority, has undertaken regular visits over the past year to areas under pressure from Armed Terrorist Groups scouring certain regions of Niger. Go to
