Family of killed CRM militant demands justice for their daughter


Family members of Suzanne Zambue, the militant of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party killed Wednesday night 6 September breaking Thursday 7 September in her marital home in Yaounde by yet-to-be-identified individuals want justice for their daughter, sister, and mother.



“She was killed like an animal. Suzanne’s killers forced a tablecloth in her throat to suffocate her. She was stabbed almost everywhere until she died, with her hands tied behind. I can’t walk. I am handicapped. Let the law take its course.” Mama Philemène, a family member said in tears.



Gendarme investigators are digging deep into the crime, in a bit to identify the perpetrators of this heinous crime and bring them before the law court, CNA learned.



In the meantime, friends, and sympathizers keep flooding the residence of Suzanne Zambue to console her family members who have been inconsolable since the tragic incident.



Suzanne was discovered dead in the parlour by her daughter who reported to Mama Philomène.



The deceased was the wife of Pascal Zambue, also a CRM militant arrested and detained in the Kondengui Prison in Yaounde to have participated in the September 22, 2020, nationwide peaceful protest initiated by Prof. Maurice Kamto, which according to state authorities was illegal and insurrectional. He was slammed a 7-year jail term.



Suzanne Zambue’s remains are currently in the morgue of the Yaounde Central Hospital pending burial.
