The President of the Republic, Head of State, HE Mr. Mohamed Bazoum, received late Wednesday evening June 8, 2022, the Vice-President of the World Bank for Human Development, Mrs. Mamta Murthi.
The two personalities discussed the support that the World Bank provides to Niger in the field of human development, which is also a priority of the government of this country, said Ms. Mamta Murthi on leaving the audience.
“Yesterday (Tuesday), we launched the ”Lahiya Iyali” (family welfare) project financed by the World Bank”, she recalled, stressing that this project is linked to the development of human capital and fertility reduction.
“We also discussed the progress made in terms of social safety nets and education,” she said, welcoming the “very significant and convincing results” obtained in these two areas.
